Homicide Unit (homicideunit.com) is a browser game based in Pennsylvania, in the United States. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: support@homicideunit.com.

What we collect

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We count visits to our pages without cookies: to tell how many different people visited on a day, we use a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser with a secret that changes every day and is then deleted, so it can't be traced back to you. Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud.

How we use it

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Who else handles it

We use a few service providers to run the site. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect players and the site from fraud or abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize the rest.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop emailing you. Email support@homicideunit.com from the address on your account. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have further rights under local law, and we'll honor them.

Children

Homicide Unit is rated Teen 13+ and is not meant for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords and limited access to keep your information safe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site.
